I have been warned
Lila's really into having her own room lately. She comes up with all sorts of ways to organize and sort her toys, like her triceratops Britney and Bridget.
Last night as we were playing in her room she looked over to me and said, "Mom, my bed is so comfy. I love my bed."
Me: Yeah, you know, I should make a quilt for your bed. Would you like that?
Lila: (noses scrunches)
Me: No?
Lila: Well, I've got my Tinkerbell blanket. Maybe after I've outgrown Tinkerbell, you can make me a quilt.
Me: Okay.
Lila: And, Mom, you should know that when I outgrow Tinkerbell, I might want to get into Barbies.
And so it begins.

She's to die for! Gorgeous! (wish mine would stop requesting quilts haha)
oh does the camera love her! I dread the B word as well... ironically though I sort of love her right now because another child passed on a "barbie" toy that completely taught Caitlyn her alphabet. Genius. But no plastic bodies were involved... :)
WOW! I didn't know Tinkerbell was a stepping stone to Barbies. Too funny.
I love this! What a cute young lady!
She's growing up Cara. Can't stop her.
Mom
She's a girl who knows whatshername wants! Good luck making a Barbie quilt...paper pieced skinny chick? LOL!
Yikes! :)
So very sweet...enjoy!
such a sweet & funny conversation!
OMG she looks just like you! Ha! What a sweetie.
Bless! The worst thing is when they outgrow toys all together. My son is almost twelve, and he's on the cusp, he keeps talking abotu getting rid of lego and bionicles, and I keep talking him out of it. Why does childhood speed by so fast when it felt like an eternity when I was a child?!
Boy is she ever cute. I love that she knows what she will want and lets you know.
